I didn’t know much about limnology. It’s the study and care of lakes, ponds, and other inland waters. The team at Vermont Limnology spends their days working on ponds across Vermont - dredging, cleaning, planting, and improving their appearance. Ed asked me to design shirts his crew would actually want to wear off the clock: not a plain embroidered polo but something inspired by street art. We made custom tags and two shirt concepts: one featuring the snapping turtles they often encounter, and a more playful design with the encouragement to “swim everywhere.”
